RELATIONSHIPS
– between members and their enterprise and all other stakeholders

TRUST

Mutual trust is a most essential aspect of all relationships for all co-ops & mutuals and its existence is a prerequisite for achieving successful relationships between members, between the enterprise and individual members, and between the enterprise and all of the other stakeholders affected by the activities of the enterprise.

INTEGRITY

Throughout the enterprise its affairs must be conducted with complete integrity, honesty and fairness at all times. Co-operative and mutual action requires honest intent and a commitment to providing a fair deal for members and all other stakeholders.

PEOPLE-CENTRED

Member-controlled enterprises are associations of persons whereas investor-controlled businesses are associations of capital. The relationship between members, and those that they may employ, needs to be conducted on the basis that all persons are of equal value as human beings .(equivalence). The enterprise needs to organized and run based upon how people actually behave.
