ORGANIZATION and GOVERNANCE
“Member-controlled enterprises need to have a system of organization & governance that fully supports the delivery of the purpose of the enterprise”

The System of organization and governance

The system of organization and governance needs to be designed to support the achievement of the true purpose the enterprise. Most importantly, organizations need to be designed to cope with people as they actually behave, not as they would like us to believe they behave.

The system needs to:

  • Encourage and support creative management
  • Provide adequate direction, control and oversight
  • Monitor the performance and effectiveness of all involved
  • Facilitate effective democratic member-control
